Abstract
The paper appraised water supply facilities in the rural riverine coastal areas of Lagos State. Inadequate water supply in quantity and quality characterised the communities. Water supply through boreholes fitted with hand pumps was seen as a reliable and sustainable water supply for the communities. Community level participation in management of facilities was seen to enhance improvement in water supply in quantity and quality.
