The deactivation of pt-Al2O3 reforming catalyst by coking was investigated by the performance of several sets of deactivation-regeneration experiments in a Berty CSTR. The overall objective was the prevention of catalyst mortality. Catalyst regeneration after deactivation was by a novel methodology, introduced with a view to improving the life-time of the catalyst.en_US
