Abstract
Examining schools' and learners' experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, the article explored the gross level of unpreparedness of the Nigerian education sector to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby exacerbating the already existing inequalities. It proposed that, as lessons learnt in the pandemic, the nation needs to maximise the potential of digital technology as a tool for education. It advocated a clear policy on ICT integration in education, greater involvement of private and public stakeholders in funding learning facilities and tools, manpower development, effective policy implementation, and continuous monitoring and supervision as ways forward.
