dc.description.abstractStaffing and controlling are some ofthe important functions ofManagement, inclusive are Planning, Organizing and Leading functions. This study is aimed at investigating the relevance ofthese two indicators ofStaffing and Controlling in Small Business Enterprise (SBE) The survey research design was used for this study. From 550 registered Small Scale Businesses Owners in Lagos State a sample of306 were drawn from the population. The respondents mean scores and standard deviations were used to answer research questions and t-test statistics were employed to test the stated hypothesis. It was ascertained that there was no significant differences in all the items except in training employees, dismissed workers who are less productive control trends and status of production of sales by showing actual daily production. Some suggestions were also preferred to improve the performance ofsmall business enterprises (SBE).
