dc.description.abstractThe importance of access to vocational training and skills acquisition for better job opportunities for the youth cannot be overestimated. This study examined vocational training and skills acquisition as a means of employability and sustainable livelihood for the youth in Lagos State. 'The descriptive survey research method was adopted and the population comprised 6,099 graduating students of the 2017 session from the 17 skills acquisition centres in Lagos State. The sample size comprised 735 graduates randomly selected using the purposive sampling technique. Theface and content validity of the instruments were ensured through a consortium of experts. The split-half method of reliability was also adopted to ensure the reliability coefficient of the Vocational Training Skill for Youths' Questionnaire (VTSYQ) which was 0.82. Four research questions were raised and one hypothesis was formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Questions raised were answered descriptively using percenta es' . -=:::.
