dc.description.abstractThe TETFund . established based on the outcome of a series of negotiations between the Federal Government of Nigeria, representatives of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the private sector. The Academic Staff Union of Universities of Nigeria had an agreement with the Federal Government, part of which led to the introduction of a 2% Education Tax on assessable corporate profit. . established in 1993 by Decree 7 1993 as Education Tax Fund with a mandate to use funding and project management from the 2% Education Tax charged on assessable corporate profit of all registered companies in Nigeria to supplement budgetary allocations for interventions at all levels of education in Nigeria.en_US
