This tribute is going to be my relationship with this visionary leader since I met him ten years ago. My first sight of this scholar was at the service of songs organized by the Faculty of Science for the late Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tokunbo Sofoluwe, in May 2012. He was coming down the stairs of the faculty to join the event and the lady by my side late Dr. Mrs. Olusola Dublin-Green said, "that is Sofoluwe's boy coming down the stairs". This was my first time meeting him physically though I have heard of him since he became the Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies. He became endeared to me after he organized the first Alumni Memorial Lecture to celebrate Professor Sofoluwe. I was impressed by the zeal he put into organizing the memorial lecture, and I became endeared to him since that time, and he has been one of my mentees and an adopted son since then.
