Abstract
The thesis deals with the study of box girder behaviour under load and examines the deplexion and membrane stresses which arise as a consequence of loading. An extensive survey of the existing methods of analyses is carried out and two of them are outlined. A composite concrete-steel box was used for the laboratory investigation.
