Abstract
The study is an attempt to identify the components of the mission statements of some vselected banks and also to examine the extent to which these banks fulfil their mission statements. A total of 37 banks' mission statements were analyzed, while 81 copies of questionnaire were administered ‘to eight of them. Nineteen different components were identified while the responses showed that most of the selected banks were making efforts to fulfil their mission statements.
