Abstract
The study investigated the challenges a/disseminating and implementing research findings' in Nigerian higher institutions. Four higher institutions: two universities and two colleges o] education in Lagos State formed the population of the study. A total of 400 academics l.v. ere sampled from the various faculties and departments in the institutions. Five Research Questions were answered using the research instrument titled Research Dissemination and Implementation Challenges Questionnaire (lWICQ). The findings revealed that though most academics ill higher institution conduct researches, their findings are sparsely disseminated and implemented due to political and government factors.
Recommendations such as involving the institutions in the implementation stage and indulging in the politics of the implementation agencies were proffered 10 ensure the realization of turning research findings into practice.
