Abstract
The problem of election crisis in Nigeria is not a new one. It had ended the first and second republics, in 1966 and 1984 respectively. In Nigeria, there is so much premium on political power that election results become highly contentious. Today, it will not be an understatement to say that civilians are incapable of conducting crisis free elections.
